Hari Ganesh is an independent filmmaker from San Jose, CA. Hari’s passion for storytelling blossomed in high school as he started acting, writing, and directing at Monta Vista High School. While majoring in Chemical Engineering at UCSB, Hari was able to continue acting and writing with the UCSB Theater department, which prepared him to start making his own short films. More recently, Hari started his production company, Lift the Veil, and has been producing and directing music videos for various artists, amassing over 200,000 views. As a creative from the South Asian community, Hari is immensely passionate about bringing multidimensional minority perspectives to the screen. 

 

Hari’s first solo narrative project, Double Stack, a short which he wrote, directed, starred in, and produced during his time in college, earned him a nomination for Best Student Director at the IndieX Festival, and was also a selection at the Hollywood First Time Filmmaker showcase and the Golden State Film Festival in 2020.
